The Penn Pals - Part 3

If you followed me on my old blog, Miss Meadows' Pearls, you might have read about a project called The Penn Pals, created by photographer Pelle Piano. The story he has created is that photos of the fictive photographer Sven Boqvist were thought to have been lost in a fire. Now, fifty years later, they have been found though. And a book has been put together with these "lost" images, together with stories about the persons portrayed - whom Sven Boqvist met during his travels in the 50s. Of course, Mr Piano is the creator of the whole scam. Haha! He's the one who has taken the photos, photoshopped all the characters into fitting backgrounds (the background photos are also taken by him during his travels), and written the stories behind the different people Sven Boqvist "met". Now three books exist in the project. Although no physical books are actually to be found... You can read about the first book here. And the second book here.

My character in the story is that of ballerina Tatiana Baronova, the made up sister of real life ballerina Irina Baronova. After meeting Sven in the fifties, he and Tatiana start a little love affair. In this third book we've reached the 60s, and Tatiana visits Sven at his summer house in Sweden. For the two previous books, Pelle shot me against a blue screen in a studio, but this time we did the shoot outside with a real background. The only "fake" part about these photos is that my tattoos have been removed with magic. Haha! It was a beautiful day last summer, and here are a few pics from that day that Sven took of Tatiana relaxing after her morning class, and during a walk...

To read more about this fantastic project, and explore all three "books" and the rest of the characters in the story, check out The Penn Pals official site (all created by Pelle) here!
